Explore one of the hottest events in Naples this summer
Warm, gentle ocean breezes. Captivating views of the Gulf of Mexico. Postcard-perfect sunsets drifting below the horizon.
And jazz. Lots and lots of jazz.
If this is your idea of paradise—and let’s face facts, it would be crazy if it wasn’t—then the annual SummerJazz on the Gulf
may be your own personal Eden.
For the 34th year in a row, The Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club
is hosting its SummerJazz on the Gulf concert series. With the Gulf as a stunning backdrop, the multievening event affords guests the opportunity to enjoy great music while relaxing in a laid-back tropical setting.
Set on the resort’s gorgeous Watkins Lawn, the lineup for the four-night series is sure to delight fans of all ages. The event kicks off on Saturday, June 29, 2019, with the Eagles tribute band Alter Eagles. With faithful renditions of the classic group’s most celebrated hits, the opening night concert is sure to have those in attendance happily reminiscing.
Next up, on Saturday, July 20, SummerJazz brings out the big, bold, and brassy as Late Night Brass takes the stage. Certain to wow crowds by playing a versatile and impressive catalog of popular hits, the 10-piece group includes a horn-and-rhythm section and two amazing vocalists. A staple in the SummerJazz lineup for the past decade, Late Night Brass has opened for Chicago, Billy Joel, Elton John, and Michael Bublè. The group is always a highlight in the summer concert series.
Less than a month later, on Saturday, August 17, the evening belongs to Pocket Change, a six-piece band that will be making their SummerJazz debut. The band has opened for Journey, Cheap Trick, and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, so you know they’re going to bring the energy to the late-summer affair.
Finally, on Saturday, September 14, another fantastic season of music comes to a close with Tampa-based band Ari & The Alibis delivering their eclectic mix of funk, jazz, blues, and rock to Watkins Lawn. Often touted as one of the Tampa area’s best local bands, Ari & The Alibis are sure to send the summer off on a high note.
All four concerts are free and open to the public, and guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets to help create an even more relaxed atmosphere. A number of full-service bars will be set up, and guests can grab a bite to eat at a food concession stand.
For those who want to make a full night of it, the onsite H.B.’s on the Gulf
restaurant and The Sunset Beach Bar & Grill
serve some of the best food and drink that Naples has to offer. The views at each establishment are a show unto themselves.
